Colchester Family Bike Ride, 6 & 12 miles

Hilly Fields, Colchester

Highwoods Country Park, Colchester
Back by popular demand, LEPRA is reintroducing a charity family bike ride in the Colchester area with a choice of 6 & 12 mile distances.

Sunday 12th September

River Colne in Castle Park
Colchester has recently been awarded Cycle Town status which is a major coup for the town.  This year in particular is incredibly exciting as the Tour of Britain completes it’s penultimate stage (Stage 7) in Colchester town centre (on 17th September) so there is a lot of hype amongst keen cyclists, Colchester residents and local businesses.

LEPRA is excited to be working alongside Cycle Colchester, a recent initiative set up to improve, promote and encourage the use of Colchester’s extensive cycle network, in a pledge to get people cycling, having fun and raising money for charity.

With 6 & 12 mile distances to suit all our fun riders, you can choose how far to challenge yourselves!  This is not a race so you can take it at your pace and just enjoy the atmosphere of the day.  With a convenient start and end point at Philip Morant School (Prettygate), parking and refreshments, all that’s left for you to do is have fun!  This event will suit indivduals, families and groups alike so join in and embrace the challenge.  So why not gather your friends, family or colleagues to raise some money for LEPRA Health in Action.

Online registration is now closed but please feel free to turn up between 9.00 and 10.30 am to register on the day.

Registration:  £5 per person/£15 per family
Sponsorship:  Any sponsorship gratefully received
