Lymphatic filariasis education campaigns in India

The rapid and unplanned growth of cities is a primary cause for the increasing numbers of people affected by disease. Numerous breeding sites are created for the mosquitoes that transmit lymphatic filariasis. LEPRA organises health education campaigns to inform the population about the causes and symptoms of this disease in the most endemic and poorest rural and urban areas of the country.
