Traditional midwife training in Guatemala
Malaria during pregnancy represents a considerable risk for mother and child. This is why LEPRA Health in Action has been training traditional birth attendants in the poorest rural areas of Guatemala to provide specialist malaria treatment to pregnant women affected by this diseases. This increases the chances of survival of both mother and child.
